Ingredients:

For Marination:

500 grams boneless chicken, cut into cubes

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 tablespoon garam masala

Salt to taste

For Gravy:

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon oil

2 onions, finely chopped

2 tomatoes, pureed

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)

Salt to taste

Chopped fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

Heat butter and oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute until the raw smell disappears.

Stir in the tomato puree, tomato paste, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook this mixture until the oil starts to separate from the sides.

Add marinated chicken pieces along with the marinade into the pan. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is slightly cooked.

Pour in the heavy cream, kasuri methi, honey or sugar (if using), and salt to taste. Stir well, reduce the heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and a drizzle of cream if desired.

Serve hot with naan, rice, or roti.
