Special Ramadan Recipe: Chicken Steam Roast

Ingredients:

Whole chicken, cleaned

Yogurt: 1 cup

Garlic paste: 2 tablespoons

Ginger paste: 2 tablespoons

Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon

Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon

Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons

Salt: to taste

Oil: 2 tablespoons

Fresh coriander and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken:


In a bowl, mix yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, and salt.

Coat the whole chicken thoroughly with this marinade.

Let it marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

Steam the Chicken:


In a steamer, place the marinated chicken.

Steam for about 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Final Touch:


Heat oil in a pan and lightly sear the steamed chicken to give it a crispy outer layer.

Garnish with fresh coriander and mint leaves.
